CAMP FUNTASTIC 8 2019

Flat water rafting is just one of several exciting activities which 47 girls and 54 boys took part in during the 3 days/2 nights Camp FUNtastic 8 at Busselton Baptist Camp on 16-20th September 2019.

Other activities included mountain biking, team and values building, beach walking, raft building, enviro art, scar stories, honouring and water team challenges. At the end of each day, everyone had ‘reflection time’ where they had to record their learning experiences in their journals, and share these and the important lessons derived from their activities for the day.

The objective of the camp was to create a fun and challenging space for our students to forge stronger connections with themselves and each other. It also served to instil self-discipline and self-reliance and to strengthen their sense of unity as well as develop leadership qualities amongst the seniors by being positive role models to the juniors. Potential student leaders were identified and selected to provide service to the school during school events.

The campers enjoyed themselves and learned priceless life skills which they could apply to their everyday school, family and community life.
